Privacy Policy

Effective 14 September 2026 · Applies to the Dyne app for macOS and to aws-lens.com

Dyne does not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no servers of ours in between you and AWS.

What Dyne stores on your Mac

Everything Dyne remembers lives on your own computer:

Deleting a connection in Dyne removes its settings and its Keychain secret. Deleting the app removes the container; Keychain items can be removed with Keychain Access if you uninstall without deleting connections first.

Where your data goes

Dyne talks directly to the endpoints you configure, using the official AWS SDK over TLS: Amazon DynamoDB, AWS STS, AWS IAM Identity Center, or a local endpoint such as DynamoDB Local. The tables, items, and queries you work with move only between your Mac and those endpoints. We operate no servers, proxies, or relays, and nothing about your usage is reported to us.

Signing in with IAM Identity Center (SSO)

When you connect through IAM Identity Center, Dyne opens the sign-in page in your default browser. To receive the result, it briefly listens on a loopback address on your Mac (127.0.0.1, random port) for the redirect from your browser. That listener accepts connections only from your own computer and closes as soon as sign-in finishes or is cancelled. Your password never passes through Dyne.

Third parties

This website

aws-lens.com is a static site with no cookies, no analytics, and no forms. It is served by Cloudflare, which may keep short-lived request logs for security and performance under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google may see your IP address when serving them, under the Google Privacy Policy.

Children

Dyne is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with an updated effective date. Because Dyne collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare and editorial.
